Just hung up with Mom. My stepfather (of 40 years) is now officially retired. (Congrats, Gary!) I give it three months before she's featured on an episode of "Snapped" on Oxygen.

Sometimes we forget how special it is to have a young family in the White House.
President Obama laughs it up with 15-year-old daughter Malia (left) and 12-year-old daughter Sasha during a Sunday basketball game at Comcast Center in College Park, Md., where the Oregon State Beavers (coached by Michelle's brother Craig Robinson) edged out the Maryland Terrapins, 90-83.

In Cheneys’ Gay Marriage Feud, Parents Defend Liz

Just two thoughts on the Cheney family feud: No surprise that Dick Cheney -- who did surprise us by being pro-equality -- would then turn around and side with Liz "Mini Me" Carpetbagger. But then to Mary: Who the hell are YOU to be so indignant and drawing a line in the sand after working on the Bush-Cheney re-election campaign in 2004, one of the most anti-gay, "let's turn out the vote by scaring people with the gays" campaigns in political history? (I think I heard Lee Atwater cheering for you from the grave.) Your sexuality may not be a choice, but working to get Dad re-elected certainly was, and one that will have lasting effects on your fellow LGBT Americans for years to come. Thanks for helping Bush appoint a chief justice who is so young and so out of touch with America that we will be paying for this until long after you and I are both dead.

UPDATE: Chris Andoe asks, where was Mary Cheney's outrage over politicians who don't support gay marriage when she gave Mitt Romney $2,500 in 2012?:

Maybe I spoke too soon about the death of Movember. While Speedo-clad Dolphins fans are bringing all the attention to No Shave November, it's nice to see sexy Chris Conte of the Chicago Bears still knows how to rock a charity 'stache!

I never tire of these vintage Madonna photos by Richard Corman. A slew of them -- including some I'd never seen before -- are on display now through Dec. 15 at Milk Studios in Chelsea. The exhibit is called Madonna NYC83, but haven't we been told (at least some of) these were from '82 before? Either way, one word: Fabulous! A visit to the gallery with lots more photos HERE.

President Obama Mentions Gay Rights in Gettysburg Anniversary Letter

How incredible is it that our president mentioned us in his letter commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address?

Via the White House:
Yesterday was the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address. And to mark Lincoln's historic, moving speech, President Obama sat down and penned a very personal, handwritten tribute for display at the Lincoln Presidential Library.
Enjoy!
