Hubba hubba. Whoever does the casting over at Freeform (ABC Family) knew what they were doing when they picked 6-foot-5 Derek Theler to be the star of "Baby Daddy." More of the 29-year-old Colorado native HERE.

Glass House of Representatives

People always try to say "all politicians" are terrible because everyone is flawed in one way or another, and that sex scandals happen regularly on both sides of the aisle. But Bill Clinton, Jack Kennedy and John Edwards (et al.) never campaigned or made policies built around the notion that their personal lives were morally superior to others. If you can't see the difference then I really have to wonder how you get by in life with absolutely no critical-thinking skills.

Bring the 9/11 Memorial 'Tiles for America' Back to Greenwich Avenue

This sure makes me smile. The corner of Seventh and Greenwich avenues was once a makeshift tribute covered with tiles made by mourners and loved ones of people killed Sept. 11 -- aka Tiles for America -- before the city decided put a ventilation plant there -- and then a crazy lady said the good lord contacted her and told her to steal take them home before Hurricane Irene struck. (Yeah, I know.) I met her once when she brought a few of them back to put on display and trust me, she's crazy.

There's now a facade that covers the aforementioned ventilation plant. It sure would be nice to see the tiles back where they belong. Hey, lady!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How adorable is this -- Beverly Cleary is 100 today! Although the nation will be celebrating this literary legend -- can you imagine your childhood without Henry Huggins or Ramona and Beezus? -- she's planning to keep things low key by simply having a piece of carrot cake. (Adorable, of course.) WaPo caught up with her recently HERE. Here's hoping she's Googling herself and sees this: Happy birthday, Mrs. Cleary!

Apparently he had been battling some health issues, but wasn't he a most peculiar man?

The Daily New reports:
David Gest, the TV and music producer who turned into tabloid fodder during his stormy marriage withLiza Minnelli, died Tuesday in a London hotel. He was 62.

Gest, who left "Celebrity Big Brother" in January over health problems, was found dead in a Four Seasons in Canary Wharf at 10:17 a.m., police said.

A cause of death has not been determined. Police said an autopsy would take place "in due course."
Gest's New York attorney from his notorious divorce remembered him as a kind man who made the best of his prolonged legal drama.

"He was one of the funniest people you could meet in your whole life," Sue Moss told the Daily News Tuesday.

"He really always took the time to ask you how you were doing...He was a real pleasure to work with."

Moss said she last spoke with Gest about six years ago, after he moved to England and found new fame there. He loved having that opportunity to "start over," she said.

Broadway producer Rick Miramontez told the News Gest was "a major showman" with "eclectic taste and love for artists."

Who'd have thunk Liza would be the last (wo)man standing?!

Here's another Pulitzer-worthy piece from The Daily Mail: A single mother arrested for having sex on a Las Vegas Ferris wheel with a since-murdered stranger on her 21st birthday has agreed to a plea deal. (Talk about a multi-tasker!) In case you're wondering, the guy -- who was in town to marry his fiance but went on a bender after they got in a fight and called off the wedding -- was shot and killed as he drove his former fiance home from her job at a strip club by some guy after bragging to the guy's brother that he was getting $4,000 to appear on "Inside Edition." (Huh?)
