While the world gushes about what a great man former New York Times publisher Arthur "Punch" Sulzberger was -- he died last week at 86 -- it's worth noting that he (like his former executive editor Abe Rosenthal) was just vile and disgusting to gay people. You can say it was a different time then, but I don't think there was ever a time when it was morally right to treat your fellow man as less than human. That said, thank god for evolution.
