How I used to live for Tennis magazine's annual yearbook issue, that always featured a brown-paper middle section with all of the tournament results and rankings by surface, etc. The best part, however, was that the mag would poll top tennis writers around the world to rank the top 10 for the year, and French writer Judith Elian, writing for L'Equipe, would always pick whoever won the French Open that year as the world number one, no matter how bad of a year they'd had in total!
