I'm back at work today -- had my first shower and exposure to heat in days at a friend's house this morning -- and just now learning of the true reach of Hurricane Sandy's destruction. With no TV and dead smartphones, Michael and I have been living in a tiny bubble, where keeping warm, helping Michael's back get better and finding food consumer our every thought. But as un-fun as it's been, it's pretty sobering when you read what all has happened to so many others.
