I told Michael that I found out Aunt Clara died today and he just sort of shrugged. I was sort of taken aback by his reaction -- he has met her before and loved her (and even if he hadn't it wasn't the reaction one would be hoping for) -- but then when I mentioned possibly going to the funeral in Maryland, he quickly apologized and said he thought I was talking about Aunt Clara from "Bewitched"! RIP, *my* Aunt Clara. She was a Bircher and probably a birther, but I will always be grateful to you for helping me reconnect with the Walshes. (The other Aunt Clara died in 1968, btw, at the height of the show's popularity.)
