So-Called 'Ex-Gay' Group Exodus to Cease Operations

This is a huge day for LGBT people everywhere, finally an admission that there is no such thing as choosing to be -- or not to be -- gay.

Exodus International, the so-called 'ex-gay' organization announced that it will be shutting down by the end of the year. The statement was posted on the organization's website. It is also the first night of the Exodus Conference, which is now to be the final conference. In a pre-recorded segment that was set to air Thursday night on "Our America with Lisa Ling," Exodus President Alan Chambers will be issuing an apology to a group of ex-gay survivors.
