It's a shame about Ray, who died today at the RoMed Clinic in Rosenheim, Germany, after a lengthy battle with bile duct cancer. In addition to being the keyboardist and founding member of The Doors -- whose music my brother Terence played nonstop when I was a kid -- Manzarek was also the genius who produced and helped mentor seminal L.A. punk band X. RIP.
